My passion is to assist people to manage their difficulties so they can bring joy back into their lives and live more fulfilling life experiences.
My career span has led me to feel a sense of compassion to be able to assist couples and or families where one or more members have experienced trauma, this is enhanced through a 2 year post graduate training in Systemic Family Therapy. I allow a safe space to process the trauma and begin to heal.
I work with complex trauma (cPTSD), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, adjustment to significant life events and grief/loss. I have completed specialist training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) as well as Schema Therapy to enhance my work with individuals who have experienced trauma (either during childhood or as an adult).
I like to focus on fostering change by developing a supportive, non-judgemental and collaborative therapeutic relationship with my clients aiming to assist them in implementing change for good.
I am often described by those that know me as friendly and down to earth, coupled with a caring and empathic nature. in my down time I enjoy time with family, trying to keep my house plants alive and going for walks.
If you’re looking for someone to talk your worries over with no matter how big or small they may seem or assistance to move forward with whatever it is that is holding you back, please reach out to me so I can help you live a more fulfilling life.
