Therapy is about giving our clients the tools to feel empowered and motivated to take charge of their progress, goals and general wellbeing.
Finding the right Practitioner
Finding the right practitioner to work with can sometimes be daunting, especially if you haven’t seen a therapist before and are unsure which one is best aligned in supporting you to reach your mental health goals.
We encourage you to read our team's bios so you can see their areas of interest and their modalities.
As our administration team knows our practitioners’ backgrounds, interests and personalities very well and as part of our triage process we are here to guide you and ensure we match you with the most suitable practitioner for your presenting issue.

Our Story
Health Sense Psychology & Wellness was established in 2021 by a not-for-profit organisation, Luma for Her Health and Wellbeing.
During the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, it was no surprise mental health services increased ten-fold. Health Sense Psychology and Wellness was established with the purpose to make mental health services more accessible for everyone needing support.
Since this time, we have grown into a collaborative team of health professionals who are able to provide evidence-based treatments to our clients as well as contribute to our social mission of directing 100% of our profits back to Luma to support over 7000 WA women per year with low to no cost healthcare services.
Our team is passionate about supporting our community for this dual purpose role.
Health
Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. The enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of health is one of the fundamental rights of every human being without distinction of race, religion, political belief, economic or social condition.
Sense
the power to become aware of by means of sense organs. A specialised function or mechanism (as sight, hearing, smell, taste, or touch) of the body that involves the action and effect of a stimulus on a sense organ.
Psychology
The word 'psychology' is derived from two Greek words, 'psyche', meaning the mind, soul or spirit and 'logos', meaning discourse or to study. These words combined produce the 'Study of the mind'. The four major objectives of psychology are to describe, explain, predict, and change or control behaviors. These goals are the foundation of most theories and studies to understand the cognitive, emotional, and behavioral processes that people face in their daily lives.
Wellness
Wellness is practicing healthy habits daily to attain better physical and mental health outcomes, so that instead of just surviving, you're thriving.
