Referrals

A referral is not required to see one of our mental health practitioners.

However, a referral is required to access a Medicare rebate.

You can request a referral from:

  • General Practitioner (GP) – Mental Health Care Plan is also required. GP’s can send us the referral, or you can deliver to us via email or in person on the day of your appointment.

  • Paediatrician – Referral only required.

  • Psychiatrist – Referral only required.

Private:

Clients do not need a referral if they are paying privately. There is also no limit to the number of sessions.

Private Health Funds: Rebates from Private Health funds vary. Some funds may require Medicare funded sessions to be completed first. Clients cannot use Private Health and Medicare rebate at the same time. It is advised to check your private health eligibility and limits prior to attending your session.

Third Party:

Please contact us if you have a third-party referral.

Details and payment will need to be arranged prior to first appointment.

Cancellations

Cancellations: Please contact us at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. A 50% late fee is incurred if an appointment is cancelled within 48 hours of the appointment.

For short notice (24 hours or non-attendance), 100% of your fee may be incurred.

Outstanding fees are required to be paid prior to attending your next session.

Most Third-Parties will not pay a cancellation or non-attendance fee, as this is the client’s responsibility.

Workers Compensation or Employment Assistance Programs may count non-attendance sessions within allocated sessions.
